scope
This is the 8th CMAT's Open Day, an initiative of the Centre of Mathematics (CMAT), a Research Unit of the University of Minho
(UMinho) with a Pole at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), to be held at UTAD, Vila Real, on October 13, 2025.
Following the idea of the previous editions, in 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 the CMAT's Open Day is dedicated to research topics developed
by CMAT's members within the research groups Algebra, Logic and Computation (ALC), Analysis and Applications (ANAP), Geometry, Topology and Applications (GTA) and Statistics, Applied Probability and Operational
Research (SAPOR).
The purpose of this initiative is to bring together CMAT's members
from UMinho and UTAD, as well as PhD and MSc CMAT's students,
providing an opportunity for them to present their scientific
activity and discuss their areas of expertise. It is intended to
present the scientific activities developed in CMAT to the
Portuguese research community in Mathematics and also to Researchers
from other fields with interest in Mathematics. Further, it
represents an appropriate occasion to develop strategic
collaborations at the level of research projects and post-graduate
programs.
Organizers: Ângela Macedo (CMAT, UTAD), Ana Jacinta Soares (CMAT, Universidade do Minho), Ana Paula Teixeira (CMAT, UTAD), Carlos Rito (CMAT, UTAD),
