At the moment, I am a lecturer  in Statistics (Professora Auxiliar) in the department of Mathematics and Applications. Before that, I was a Lecturer in Medical Statistics in the Department of Medicine at Lancaster University. I had a post-doc position as Research Associate in the same department with Professor Peter Diggle. I did my PhD in medical statistics, in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Lancaster University on Joint Models for Longitudinal and Time-to-Event Data, under the supervision of Professor Amanda Chetwynd and Professor Peter Diggle. My PhD was funded by the portuguese foundation FCT.
I've done the MSc in Medical Statistics also at Lancaster, on survival analysis ("Risk Factors and Centre Effects in Survival of Haemodialysis Patients") under the supervision of Professor Robin Henderson.
I've got my first degree in Mathematics from Minho University, in Portugal.
